In the heart of cells, genes code proteins, the essential molecules of cells. There is a close link between the molecular writing of DNA and the molecular writing of proteins. Radically simplified, the film's message is: " a gene codes for a protein". It provides an opportunity to build up an initial picture of what we know about the complexity of interactions between cells, genes and proteins today.
