Plasticity of the brain
 

The most recent discoveries show that the brain can "rebuild itself" because of its astonishing plasticity. This discovery offers new hope to all those who suffer from neurological diseases or cerebral traumas: we can act on the brain, preventing or slowing the "death" of nerve cells by stimulating the growth of neurones with therapy, chemical treatment and perhaps, one day, cell grafts.
