Cloning
 

CLONING consists of a taking an individual's genome from one of their cells and injecting it into an ovum to create an embryo cell. This cell can be used to create specialised cells, a technique called therapeutic cloning, for medical reasons. Theoretically, a mother implanted with an embryo cell could give birth to a cloned baby : this would be reproductive cloning.
