DINOSAURS were "lizards" that walked the Earth well before the first human beings. They populated our planet for 160 million years in dozens of forms (little, big, crawling, walking, flying, carnivorous, herbivorous, etc.), then suddenly died out. The cause of their extinction is still not definitely known.
