  Collection Discovery video glossary

A STAR is formed when a cloud of gas and dust collapses in space. Under pressure, this cloud reaches a temperature of 10 million degrees. Hydrogen fusion begins and results in the appearance of a STAR. While our Solar System has only one STAR, a yellow dwarf called the Sun, other systems can have 2 or 3 STARS.
