RHEUMATISM is chronic or temporary pain in the joints. There are two types of RHEUMATISM : arthritis, caused by an excess of lubricant in the joint that attacks the tissue and cartilage, and osteoarthritis, wear in the cartilage that causes a painful friction or seized-up bones.
