A VIRUS is a much smaller organism than a cell or a bacterium. It becomes active when it reaches a target cell in the body, infecting it and forcing it to produce thousands of similar VIRUSES, which will in turn attack other cells and threaten the health of the organism. Only vaccines can efficiently prevent viral diseases.
