OZONE in the stratosphere protects living organisms from the sun's ultraviolet rays. The OZONE layer is shrinking, undoubtedly because of CFC gases used in industry and aerosol sprays. In cities, the action of light on exhaust gases also leads to the production of ozone, harmful to the health of people and plants.
