Eutrophation

  Collection Environment video glossary

EUTROPHICATION results from the dispersion in rivers, lakes, seas, etc. of phosphates in waste water. Some of these phosphates remain on the surface where living organisms develop. A type of alga then appears and proliferates until it exhausts the available oxygen and kills off other flora and fauna.
