The CARBON CYCLE refers to exchanges of carbon dioxide (CO2). CARBON, a main component of living organisms, travels in the air and through the oceans, is fixed to the calcium of seashells and is captured in the form of carbon dioxide by plants, animals and human beings, etc., who then expel it, by breathing, for instance.
